This is a reminder to celebrate yourself. It can be easy to forget to celebrate yourself, especially if you are in an environment where you do not feel celebrated. It starts from within. Make the decision to celebrate yourself. As you choose to celebrate yourself, also choose to have the experience of being celebrated by others. Your awareness will start shifting to those situations in which you are celebrated and you will be able to create even more of that within your life.
This came across my Facebook feed and I had to share. What a great reminder! Too many people feel guilty when they take care of themselves thinking that means they are selfish. When you take care of yourself you not only feel better but have more to give to others. When you fall in love with taking care of yourself it becomes easy to do.
People have received benefit from Garnet as far back as history can be recorded. It is even said that Noah used a garnet lamp on his ark to illuminate his way through the dark night and floods. Old tales of women sewing this stone in their husbands clothing to help them return safely back home from battle and lands far away indicated that garnet is a stone that protects travels. Garnet is a personal favorite of mine.
A stone used by artists and writers, Garnet helps us to be inspired to utilize our creative abilities. It is one of the stones I'm wearing right now as I write this. If you are familiar with my work, as an Intuitive Coach/Healer, you will know that I teach that we are the creators of our lives, so a gem stone that opens one to joyfully experiencing their own creativity is right up my alley. Supporting the root chakra, Garnet brings in the energy to help promote feeling stabile and secure. When we know we are safe, secure and feel supported it allows us to open up receiving our highest good. Do you feel shy about letting your inner sparkle and shine out? Garnet supports you in feeling comfortable connecting with your inner confidence and sharing yourself in the world. As your inner confidence blossoms, garnet inspires and attracts love. It is a stone known for great passion. Seeking spirituality and passion in your love relationships? Garnet ignites sensuality while reaching spiritual depths and promotes loyalty and commitment. It is not only a stone of love. Those in the business world or in sales are said to open themselves up to greater abundance, prosperity, and attracting more money when wearing garnet.
On the physical level Garnet is said to support the body in many ways. Overall health is said to be boosted by strengthening the immune system and reducing inflammation. Balance for metabolism, support for heart, lungs, blood, thyroid, spleen and spine, are all gifts that can occur when working with or wearing garnet.
Energetically garnet cleanses and reenergizes the chakra system. I've already mentioned that Garnet is associated with the root chakra but that is just the primary chakra it helps. Because love and creativity are associated with Garnet, the sacral and heart chakras benefit too.
There are many things to love about this stone of love, Garnet.

When people find out I do Energy Healing a common question that comes up is do you use crystals during the session. It might be surprising to hear the answer is no. This blog provides more information about the work I do. Although I do not use them in the session itself, my home and office are both adorned by the beauty of crystals.
My favorite way to receive the energetic benefit they offer us is through jewelry. The beginnings of my love of crystals and all things sparkly must have started back when I was a small child. Inside a market place my mom often shopped at was a jewelry store. This store also sold raw crystals and gemstones. My mother would browse the jewelry while I was mesmerized by the crystals.
It is probably safe to say I inherited my mother's love for jewelry. A big part of that interest is the properties that each crystal or stone carries. Precious metals such as gold and silver have been documented as used for healing as far back as ancient Egypt, and in the Ayurvedic healing systems of India and history points to similar use of gemstones and crystals as well
If you are interested in natural healing it makes sense. Mother nature has given us plants from which we create herbal remedies. Crystals and stones are also part of the earth. Like the minerals found in your daily multi vitamin, stones from the earth each hold a frequency or vibrational signature that has the potential to help us.
My personal belief is that the crystals themselves do not heal us. But rather the energy they hold helps awaken our own natural healing with the body. The work that I do with clients is all about awakening you to the sacred energy you already carry inside of you that has potential to heal and transform not just the physical body but on all levels. When we come into contact with certain stones their vibration interacts with the vibration of the cells of the body as well as the energetic field.
An easy way to benefit from the support of crystals and gemstones is through jewelry. The act of wearing something beautiful alone can lift your spirits. Wearing jewelry created with gemstones and crystals can promote peace, balance, inspiration, empowerment and so much more. It is with great pleasure to be able offer beautiful gemstone and crystal jewelry to my clients. Watch this space as I will be adding more blogs sharing the gifts different stones can offer as well as an online shop. If you have an interest in purchasing a piece with a certain stone, message me. I'd love to hear which crystals peak your interests and I might already have a beautiful piece in the works.
This is not the blog I originally meant to post today. I spent time outlining and drafting another. But then this happened and I had to share. Today I spent time in meditation/prayer asking God/the universe/source for support for some things I am working on creating. I always coach people that it is their job to know what they want to create, take action if appropriate, and let the universe work out the details and deliver in the best possible way. As a recovering control freak, I understand those words can be easier said than done, but I've found it is the best way to live. Even so, when making big changes it takes big trust. As I sat down to do some writing I noticed a little white feather near the deck of Angel cards on my table. It wasn't there earlier. I am convinced it is a wink from God and the Angels letting me know I was heard and that they have my back. But it felt like the message was not just meant for me, but for everyone that is reading this post. We are all supported. If there is something in your heart that you want, ask the beautiful divine energy to support you. Asking is always the first step in creating what you desire. No matter what is gong on in your life, know that you are divinely supported. If you have asked for something new joyfully be open to receive. xoxo
In my last post, I suggested that people take their power back and stop relying on the actions of others to create their own happiness. I want to talk about power itself because some people hear that word and immediately their guard goes up.
If that is you, you might need to give yourself a new definition of power. Often people think of power as corruption, or energy that is overwhelming and selfish without regards to others. Although there are people who live and express their power negatively, it is also possible to be powerful in positive ways. An example of this is connecting to you power from a place of peace, and from an open heart.
You might have been taught when you were growing up that the times that you were self assured, or confident were wrong or even punished…That in order for others to like you or love you even, you must tone it down and let others get their way. You might have seen your parents or caretakers in fear of or angry at those in powerful positions. In these situations, whether the person in power deserved the anger or fear your parents projects on to them, the subconscious can create a belief that power is something to be feared or be angry at. This can create a conflict when you are making positive changes in you life and a coach or teacher suggests that you take your power back.
Your subconscious swoops in like a super hero. It’s goal is to try to keep you safe. It is holding on to the negative beliefs about power and as you make the choice to learn how to be in your power it fights the battle to defend you. Once you realize what your subconscious is doing, you can make peace with it and teach it what you would like to create.
How would you like being in your power to feel? The resistance that comes up around being in your power can be gold. It helps you know what to balance.
If being in your power makes you feel uneasy, or fearful, choose to be comfortable in your power.
If the thought of being in your power is uncomfortable, choose to know what it feels like to be in your power and be comfortable, and for it to feel authentic and natural.
If others have shamed you, put you down, or punished you when you were in your power, make the choice to honor yourself when you are in your power, and to create situations in which you are honored in your power. What comes up here for many is thinking they need to be in battle to be in your power. Your subconscious is your servant and brings you people to battle. So make sure you choose to be in your power from a place of peace.
You are the creator of your life. If you would like to experience life from a peaceful place, with an open heart, and from your authentic power, the first step is to make that decision. As you make the choice, the universe opens up to begin supporting you.
If I had a dollar for all the times I have heard someone base their own happiness on the actions of another person I would be a wealthy woman. If that sounds like you, get ready for some tough love. The two words I have for those who do this are “Stop IT!”
To believe that your happiness is dependent on how another acts is wrong. You are responsible for your own happiness. No one else is, not your partner, family, boss, friends, co-workers. It all comes down to you. Now, I realize, especially if you are going through a challenging time with another person you might not want to hear that message. Believe me, I know. There have been times in my life when I was really struggling and if someone would have told me this I would have gone into a story about how they just didn’t “get it”
And then, finally, I “got it” and my life changed for the better. When you get it, yours will too. When you let how another person acts keep you from being happy you are giving your power away. You know that boss that you hate? Yep, that’s right.. By staying angry at her you are giving your power away. Sure, there are times in life when people show up that are jerks. But your reaction to them is your responsibility.
Speaking of responsibility, this word gets a bad rap. People often get responsibility mixed up with blame. Blame insinuates that someone is at fault. People often do not want to take responsibility because they do not want to be blamed or at fault. The truth is that taking responsibility is empowering and does not mean that anyone is to blame.
If your boss is truly a “jerk” then it is up to you to choose to create moving forward situations where you are honored and respected. It is up to you to make the choice to experience something different and then take the steps to create it. You might need to examine your belief systems around being valued. By taking responsibility for your belief systems, instead of being a stuck victim, you can create the space for the situation to show up differently, or perhaps a new job where you are honored and respected. If you are thinking, “ok fine, but it’s my family member- or fill in the blank of someone who can’t be replaced- who causes me grief” The same principle applies. You must have your belief systems in harmony with what you choose to create. People respond to your energy. If you are expecting a fight, or to be treated like a victim, someone will show up and mirror that to you. It is not your responsibility to change the behavior of another. If they do things you do not like you can not change their ways. You can however change how you react. By taking responsibility for how you respond, and the energy you are putting out into the world, you have the opportunity to create more peaceful situations in which people can positively respond to you.
Let me know what you think about the idea of taking responsibility. Leave me a comment and let’s chat about it.
In the work that I do, I’ve come to believe that one of the biggest lessons we are here to learn while in this life is how to love ourselves. For most people everything you are taught goes against this. We grow up hearing that to love yourself is to be self-centered or egotistical. A common belief when working with intuitive coaching clients is that to be worthy you must sacrifice yourself. This can show up in all sorts of ways. It could be sacrificing your time, your dreams, your health, or whatever is most important to you. There is a core unconscious belief (and in some cases it is conscious) in many that sacrificing yourself is a way to prove your love, or your worth. And, in return receive love or recognition back. This is not exclusive to romantic relationships. I see people doing this with family members, friendships, and at work. It can happen within any social dynamic. Giving yourself up might appear to work for a while, but is not sustainable. Eventually resentment rears its head. The reason resentment feels uncomfortable is to remind you that there is a different way to do things.
If this sounds familiar, my challenge to you is to replace self sacrifice with self love. The first step is to realize that the love you are seeking starts from within. There is nothing you need to do to prove you are worthy to be loved. Receiving validation from outside sources does not prove your worth. It is up to you to remember that you are valuable and that you are worthy of your own love. This is not a green light to go around treating other people badly. Rather, it is permission for you to take care of your needs. This realization gives you the space and the freedom to begin to live from a place of inspiration and create the things you desire in your life. From this place you have much more to give than if you are expecting another to prove your worth.
Loving yourself means you treat yourself kindly and let go of self judgement. By loving yourself you open the door to receive support from the universe. You realize that engaging and creating struggle for yourself is not a loving act but choosing peace for yourself is.
It is a choice to create a healthy mind, body, spirit relationship. Your body is divine and a spiritual antenna. It is a physical embodiment of how you are consciously creating your life and should be treated as the sacred space your spirt dwells.
.It is remembering that you are the creator of your life. You are responsible for deciding what you would like to show up in your life. Loving yourself is recognizing where you give your power. Do you give it away to challenges and situations you are unhappy with? Or do you choose to know that being your authentic self is being in your power. When in your power you can create solutions to any challenges that appear.
Loving yourself is connecting to and listening to the wisdom of your heart. It is choosing to live with an open heart. Loving yourself is choosing the joyful, graceful expression of yourself in the world. It is letting go of the need to battle the world, and choosing to create a world that welcomes and embraces the genuine you.
Loving yourself is creating a vision for your life that excites and inspires you. It is having a vision beyond how you currently view your life and having the faith that you are everything you need to create what you desire. It is showing up for yourself, trusting the universe to show up for you and remembering that you are the one who manifests this.
In order to love yourself, self judgement, blame, shame, guilt and doubt must take a back seat to you connecting with the light of who you are. If you are not there yet, that is ok, but you must make the choice to believe it is possible and choose to allow it for yourself. You must make the choice to receive and be the love that you are. If you are ready for this but not sure where to start, I am here to help. Having an outside perspective can support you to know that it is possible for you to have these things. Though you want to change you might not realize what blocks you. I am able to intuitively tune into the root of what holds you back and help you transform it. Contact me today for a session and embark on your journey to self love.
